ACSA Excellence Awards 2017

Congratulations go to our wonderful long serving volunteer, John Dennis OAM and Enrolled Nurse, Julie Chapman. John and Julie were finalists in the Volunteer and Employee categories. The ACSA Excellence Awards 2017 were held on Friday 23rd June at the National Wine Centre.

RSL Care SA volunteer John Dennis won the Volunteer category of the Awards. John has been a volunteer at our War Veterans Home site in Myrtle Bank for the past 16 years, and John has positively impacted the lives of many of our residents and staff. This impact led to his nomination for an Order of Australia, which he received in 2016. John’s commitment and dedication is outstanding. He is a very worthy recipient of the Award.

Julie did not win the Employee Award, but Julie’s nomination testifies to the great care taken in her work with our residents. Julie also volunteers her time to assist with our weekly Vietnam Veterans Social program. She directly contributes to improving the health and wellbeing outcomes for this cohort of residents.

Well done John and Julie!! We are very proud of you both.

Well done to all the nominees for their hard work, care and devotion.
